Kawasaki Jet Skis

While the words “Jet Ski” are the most commonly used to describe any personal watercraft (PWC), “Jet Ski” is actually a trademark of Kawasaki. The Japanese company released their first PWC in 1972 and for 16 years was the only successful commercial PWC. Today, Kawasaki divide their range into three separate categories: Non-supercharged, Stand Up and Supercharged.

Top Models:

Non-Supercharged

There are 3 models in Kawasaki's Non-Supercharged category. The STX 160X, the STX 160 LX and the Ultra LX. Each of these models has been updated in 2020 to improve rider comfort and maneuverability. Each Jet Ski seats 3 riders, the STX 160 LX has a Jetsound integrated audio system and the Ultra LX has a “LXuryseat” and a larger fuel tank for those looking to ride far.

Stand Up

In 2019, Kawasaki released the JET SKI SX-R. Powered by a 1,498 cm³ 4-stroke In-Line Four, the SX-R has twice as much power as its 2-stroke predecessor, the JET SKI 800 SX-R, and a broad spread of power that delivers strong acceleration from any rpm. The four-cylinder engine produces 160 horsepower making it the most powerful Jet Ski in Stand-Up PWC history.

Supercharged

Kawasaki’s Supercharged category is it’s biggest, with 3 different models in the class, each with 2019 and 2020 versions. The 3 models are the ULTRA 310LX, the ULTRA 310X and the ULTRA 310R, each of which are three seaters. They also have multiple riding modes which can be activated with a touch of a button. The 8 kph mode conveniently regulates rpm to maintain constant speed in no-wake zones and cruise control fixes speed at a specified level for convenient long distance touring.
