Winery Tasting Notes

Deep, inky colour with a youthful purple edge. The nose shows cassis, blackcurrant, and mulberry, layered with hints of mint, bay leaf, and graphite. The palate is full-bodied and tightly structured, with ripe tannins supporting dark berry fruit and subtle cedar spice. Fresh acidity gives balance and points to strong cellaring potential.

Food pairing: Perfect with slow-cooked smoked meats — think beef brisket, lamb shoulder, or short ribs — where the wine’s tannin and structure cut through the richness and the smoky flavours echo the savoury depth of the Cabernet.

Andrew Peace Wines has developed into a state-of-the-art winemaking and viticultural enterprise from its origin as a small family owned vineyard in 1980. It is still a family owned business employing over 40 local people. The winery is ranked in the top 20 of Australian wineries with wine exports into 14 countries.
