It has a premium cork closure, medium to full body weight, mellow, smooth characters and subtle French oak. This is a lovely Shiraz, fit for a grand Asian banquet or classic Australian BBQ.

Colour

The colour is mid carmine red with subtle mahogany edges giving a hint of age.

Aroma

This wine has been made in the modern Australian method of clean, gentle handling of the fruit and juice. It retains some of the freshness of ripe berries, green herbs and sweet spice. Six years maturation has softened the edges and added some tertiary, savoury aromas of mushroom, smoky oak and dried herbs.

Palate

The initial palate retains some of the lively fresh fruit flavours of ripe, blackberry, mulberry and blackcurrant. The middle palate has nice gripping tannins, medium weight and well-rounded acidity with sweet oak, vanilla and cinnamon. The finish is clean and dry with hints of dark chocolate and earthy spice.

Food Matching

From classic Australian favourites like roast lamb, pan seared steak or beef schnitzel to Peking Duck or Pork dumplings, this is a well-rounded Shiraz for any cuisine.

Cellaring Potential

With six years age, this Shiraz is drinking well now. With careful cellaring it will continue to develop for another 3 - 5 years but it’s easy drinking style makes it an everyday choice.
