The nose of this wine is a little quiet to start, but it eventually opens to reveal notes of plums, red cherries, peppery spices and dried green herbs. Tangy, plump, plummy fruit leads the palate, ensconced in a lovely texture and focused line of savory, spicy tannins. The finish is long and fruity. Drink now–2026. 89 Points, CHRISTINA PICKARD

Grown in red loam over limestone in our family vineyards in Padthaway

Winemaking

Harvested in mid-march, most of the fruit is initially barrel fermented, then undergoes malolactic fermentation before hand selection of the finest barrels

Maturation

15 - 18 months in 60% French and 40% American oak, ranging in age from new to three year old
