Vintage
The Swiggit & Co. Cabernet is a majority blend of Langhorne Creek 80% and Fleurieu 20%.
The 2018 Langhorne Creek vintage was excellent. Winter had above average rainfall, which reduced as the spring months wore on. Summer was reasonably dry and hot, with a couple of downpours helping canopy maintenance. Temperatures were warmer than average, however the summer breeze provided cool nights allowing flavour development. Cabernet Sauvignon was particularly strong, with moderate yields and excellent quality.
The Fleurieu also had an excellent vintage, good rainfall and mild conditions led to near perfect ripening conditions and great fruit flavour.

This Cabernet Sauvignon has been made in the Swiggit mantra, full bodied with cherry and cassis flavours and silky tannins. A proudly mouth-watering, quaffable and approachable wine. Go on, “swig it” and enjoy!
Swiggit and Co. is made by iconic South Australian winemaker, Ben Riggs. Graduatingfrom Roseworthy Agricultural College in Adelaide, Ben furthered his experiencethrough vintages abroad in the Napa Valley, Bordeaux, Greece, Italy, and theSouth of France as well as Australia. Ben has logged a whopping 44 vintages intotal.
In2001 Mr. Riggs Wine Co. was founded where Ben turned the focus inwards and puthis own name (and produce) in lights. Ben’s wines have pleased many palatesover the years including those of judges, winning 44 trophies and titles. Hehas also been nominated for Gourmet Traveller WINE Winemaker of the Year in2005 and 2013.
Swiggitand Co. is made at McLaren Vintners, a winemaking facility partly owned by Ben,situated in McLaren Flat. Ben uses his extensive contacts with growers tosource fruit from reputable vineyards throughout prominent South Australianwine regions, to make the Swiggit and Co. range.
