Salena Estate is owned by Bob and Sylvia Franchitto. Although a relatively young wine company, their first vintage was produced only as recently as 1998. From the very start, Salena Estate’s objective was always to become recognised as a maker of world-class wines that represent great value in any market that they are presented. To achieve consistently high quality fruit, the latest pruning, canopy management and other vineyard practises are undertaken to ensure the best possible varietal expression in the harvest. Vineyard plantings are of fairly significant size, at 208 hectares (520 acres).
