Open-fermented, 7 days on skins, matured for 2 years in French hogsheads (70% new). This introduces an additional level of tannins ex oak, and there may well have been some fruit selection. It needs at least 5 years to settle down, and even then won't be at its peak. - Halliday Wine Companion

A single vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon, where only small parcels of the best quality fruit was selected from our estate grown Limestone Coast vineyard, then matured in 100% new French Oak hogshead barrels for 24 months. The 2013 vintage followed a consistent warm summer with yields of even ripeness, rich in colour and excellent flavour profile.

This limited release wine displays a concentrated bouquet of mint and violets. Rich berry fruit and abundant cassis flavours overlay a soft tannin finish of generous length, reflecting the true regional characters of our vineyards.

Responsible cellaring up to 15 years.
