Cirro Organic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2020 (12 x 750mL) NZ

Cirro wines are made in the Wairau Valley, the heart of the New Zealand wine industry. The winery was established in 2009 and is owned by Richard Green and David Tyney.David and Richard’s winemaking philosophy is derived from many vintages of experience making Sauvignon blanc in Marlborough. They believe that the best Sauvignon blancs’ come from a blend of the best vineyards scattered through the Wairau Valley. The Wairau Valley produces consistent Sauvignon blanc with minimal vintage variation. However, there can be individual vineyard variations from year to year, but by blending a select few vineyards the winemakers can maintain a consistent quality wines.

David Tyney – Winemaker/Director/Shareholder

David has 16 years winemaking experience in the Barossa Valley, Adelaide Hills, California, Loire Valley, New Zealand and more recently mainland China. His role as a director and winemaker for Cirro is diverse but spends most of his time in the vineyard and winery.

Richard Green – Winemaker/Director/Shareholder

Richard’s winemaking experience originates from his love of aromatic white wines. Having spent time in the Moselle in Germany, Richard appreciates the importance of structure and balance in winemaking which plays an important part here in Marlborough with cool climate white winemaking and Sauvignon blanc production.
