The Hay Valley is just west of Mt Barker in the heart of the Great Southern wine growing district of Western Australia. From post war farming and apple growing, the region is now a well-established area for viticulture
with the first vines planted here in the late 1960’s. With its mature vineyards, moderate yields and Mediterranean climate, many grape varieties do well, producing crisp dry whites with vibrant, fresh fruit
flavours and well balanced reds with great colour, flavour and structure.

Colour - Bright and clear with just a touch of pale straw.
Aroma - Lovely perfumed aroma with hints of lychees and a light grassiness along with characters of cape gooseberries.
Palate - Mouthfilling and fresh, this wine has good fruit weight with light passionfruit and gooseberry fruit flavours. There’s a light herbaceousness, typical of the variety, with a gentle zingy acidity that gives the wine its freshness and contributes to its persistence of flavour and lingering finish.
A ‘gentle’ dry wine that can be enjoyed on its own or served with many foods.
