Winery Tasting Notes
A blend of approximately 80% Sangiovese, 15% Canaiolo and 5% Syrah with maturation taking place in large oak barrels for approximately 12 months.
Deep dark red colour with black tinged edges and a dark red hue. Aromas of red currant and spicy red cherries mix with dusty cedar, light dried herb notes and hints of tobacco. Very savoury, the mid weighted palate has a fresh elegant feel to it with spicy red currant and red cherry fruits overlaying a back drop of cedar, dusty earth and subtle dried herb influences. Finishes slightly dry and rustic with a delicate chalky edge to the tannins. Excellent depth with a long refined aftertaste. A delightful Chianti that becomes more expressive as it sits in the glass.
