GST Exclusive example:

• Successful Bid Price is $109 + 20% Buyers Premium = $130.80 + 10% GST = invoice total of $143.88
• Successful Bid Price is $1509 + 16.5% Buyers Premium = $1757.99 + 10% GST = invoice total of $1933.79
• Successful Bid Price is $7009 + 8.5% Buyers Premium = $7604.77 + 10% GST= invoice total of $8365.24

Variable Buyers Premium:

To claim a GST refund for an asset that has been exported, you must:

• Notify us of your intent to export within five (5) days of the Sale closing date
• Pay your invoice in full (including any GST)
• Supply proof of export of the asset within 60 days of the invoice payment date. Acceptable documents are a Bill of Lading, Sea Waybill or Air Waybill
• Please note that refund of GST on Buyers Premium (a service) is only available to overseas buyers

We accept the following methods of payment:

Credit Card

• 1% surcharge applies to Mastercard & VISA transactions.
• 2% surcharge applies to American Express & Diners Club transactions.
• No other cards are accepted.
• For invoices totalling less than $10,000, your credit card will be debited within 2 days of auction closing. To assist in the processing of payments, please have funds available.
• For invoices totalling in excess of $10,000 Grays reserves the right to charge a deposit against the purchaser’s credit card to a maximum of $10,000 or 20% of the invoice total. In bidding in this sale, the buyer agrees without reservation to Grays doing so.
• Invoices totalling in excess of $10,000 can be paid in-person at any Grays office.
• Invoices totalling in excess of $10,000 will not be split.

PayPal

• 1% surcharge applies to PayPal transactions.
• Only accepted for invoices totalling less than $10,000 where elected as your preferred payment method within your account.

EFT (Direct Deposit)

• For invoices totalling in excess of $10,000. Payment must be made in full within two business days of the auction closing.
• Please ensure you state your invoice number within the payment reference. As EFT transfers can take up to 2 business days to clear, please contact Grays prior to collecting your purchase to confirm receipt of clear funds.

Cash

• Accepted only when deposited at a Westpac Branch.
• Please ensure you state your invoice number within the payment reference.
• When collecting an asset immediately after a cash deposit, please ensure you present the original Westpac deposit receipt.
• We do not accept cash at any Grays or Vendor premises.

Bank Cheque

• Accepted for invoices totalling in excess of $10,000.
• It is preferred that Bank Cheques are deposited at a Westpac Branch.
• Bank cheque transfers can take up to 3 business days, please contact Grays prior to collecting your purchase to confirm receipt of clear funds.
• Please note that cash, personal or company cheques will not be accepted.

Typically, auctions end at their posted closing time. There are some exceptions to this however, for example if there are any bids placed on a particular lot within 10 minutes of the auction closing time (the "Going, Going, Gone!" period). When this happens, the auction will be extended until there are no more bids placed within ten minutes of the last successful bid.

There is no limit to the number of times an online auction can be extended. This makes Grays work more like a live auction where the bidding does not stop as long as there is still interest in the product, rather than assigning an arbitrary cut-off time. To ensure that you do not get outbid, make sure you monitor the auction until you have won the item or enter an "AUTOBID" that you think will win!

If a lot requires a Franna Crane to lift outside of these dates, it will be the responsibility of the buyer to pay the cost and use the inducted crane company on site. If mobile assets require crane lifts, it will be the responsibility of the buyer to pay the cost and use the inducted crane company on site. A detailed collection advice email with site entry points will be send to each buyer after the auction closes. Buyers will be required to make an appointment within the advised collection days to collect their assets.
• Proof of Full Vaccination (Double Dose) Must Be Provided for Access to Site.

Collection Notes:

• Any items remaining uncollected after the specified timeframe will incur a storage fee or may be deemed abandoned and disposed of.
• Goods will only be released with the correct buyer details being provided (full buyer name, sale number, Lot number and I.D.).
• Grays may take a copy (photocopy or electronic copy) of the document that proves the Registered Buyer’s identity, such as a driver licence or other photo ID. Taking such a copy is reasonably necessary for Grays’s business activities. The copy will be collected, held, used and disclosed by Grays in accordance with the Grays Privacy Policy.
• Asset packaging and removal are the purchasers responsibility in the time frame specified for this sale.
• Please be aware during busy periods an extensive wait time should be expected.

COLLECTION CAN ONLY TAKE PLACE ONCE CLEARED FUNDS HAVE BEEN RECEIVED

Grays is working with our customers whilst the COVID-19 situation is present regarding collection of assets. There will be no storage or additional fees charged due to interstate buyers not able to collect their purchases.

If you wish to send a third party to collect your goods on your behalf, they will need:

• A copy of your Winner's Email
• A scanned copy of your photo ID
• A letter signed by you authorising them to collect the goods on your behalf (Please refer below Letter of Authorisation template)
• They will also be required to produce identification and sign for the goods on behalf of buyers acting as the authorised agent.

Grays do not carry manual consignment notes nor complete them for third party carriers. Grays staff will not release the goods to anyone other than you unless they carry the appropriate authority. By appointing third party pick up you have given them the authority to sign off on the condition of the goods being picked up.

Please Note: Grays are not responsible for the goods once they have been signed for. Any problems relating to the transportation of the goods will need to be taken up with the third party acting on your behalf.

Site Access:

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE):

• Grays will specify, according to the hazards and risks assessed as present on the site, any mandatory PPE required to be worn prior gaining approval to entry to the site. This equipment may include Safety Footwear, Safety Eyewear, Hearing Protection, and Head Protection, or any other item of PPE deemed necessary.
