Description
Coin collection of 4 SONG DYNATY China Large multi cash coin lot
- Buyer gets the four scarce large two or ten cash coinms plus the regular one cash coin which shows the difference in size to normal one cash coins. Coins are larger than the normal 24mm to 25mm that cash coins normally are and would have originally had a ten or a two cash value when issued (Depending on if it was issued during or after a series of wars in china in the late 11th century. They date from late 1000s to early 1100s.
- In the late 11th century when the armies were at wars these coins were cast with a ten cash value (Even though they only contained two or three times as much metal as normal one cash coins) - I assume partially as a way to help finance the wars. When the wars semi ended and the economy got back to normal it was easy to profitably counterfeit these coins because you could make a ten cash coin using only two or three cash value of metal. So the government revalued the coins to three cash. This only partially stopped the counterfeiting and they were ultimately revalued again to two cash. Even though some people had 80% of their savings wiped out in the devaluations the coins proved popular and were useful for commerce so the government continued to make these oversize coins and valued the newly minted coins at two cash.

Please Note: Your goods will be delivered to your registered address. We do delivery Australia wide except for a few remote territories, please check the shipping calculator to confirm delivery availability and timeframes.
Payment
We accept the following methods of Payment:
Credit Card
- 1.2% surcharge applies to Mastercard & VISA transactions
- 0.7% surcharge applies to Debit card transactions
- 2.5% surcharge applies to American Express transactions
- No other cards are accepted
- Invoices totalling less than $10,000 will be automatically debited from the card nominated within your account
- Invoices totalling in excess of $10,000 can be paid in-person at any Grays office
PayPal
- 1.2% surcharge applies to PayPal transactions
- Only accepted for invoices totalling less than $10,000 where elected as your preferred payment method within your account
EFT (Direct Deposit)
- For invoices totalling in excess of $10,000. Payment must be made in full within two business days of the auction closing.
- Please ensure to state your invoice number as the payment reference and email proof of the remittance to accountsreceivable@grays.com.au
- As EFT transfers can take up to 2 business days to clear, please contact Grays prior to collecting your purchase to confirm receipt of clear funds
