1922 ROLEX 700 MOVEMENT USED IN 1920`S ROLEX WATCHES
- A Circa. 1922 Rolex 700 (Gruen 825) Movement, Used In Various 1920`s Rolex Models Such As Rolex Oysters.

- During The Early 1900`s, Rolex And Gruen Were The Biggest Customers (And Were Both Large Shareholders) Of Aegler, A Company That Specialised In Mechanical Movements.
- Aegler Made Movements For Both Rolex And Gruen Who At The Time Did Not Have The Capability To Manufacture Movements.
- In Fact, The Complete Company Name At One Point Was, `Aegler S.A. Fabrique Des Montres Rolex & Gruen Guild A`.
- Rolex And Gruen Came To A Mutual Agreement With Aegler That Gruen Would Only Sell Their Watches In The USA Whilst Rolex Would Sell To The Rest Of The World.
- Due To This, There Were Many Rolex And Gruen Watches That Used The Same Movements, Just With Different Names. For Instance, This Particular Movement Was Known As A Rolex 700 Movement And Was Used In A Number Of Rolex Watches Including Oysters During The Late 1920`s. Alternatively, When This Movement Was Supplied To Gruen In The USA, It Was Listed As A Gruen 825 Movement.
- In The Early 1930`s, Gruen Sold Their Aegler Shares To Hans Wilsdorf Of Rolex. After Which, Aegler Became Increasingly Tied To Rolex Through The Sale Of Stock And Shares. Eventually In 2004, Rolex Bought The Movement Manufacturer Outright And Absorbed It Into The Brand Entirely.
- This Movement Is Accompanied By An Original Gruen Dial.

- 2.5% surcharge applies to American Express & Diners Club transactions
- No other cards are accepted
- Invoices totalling less than $10,000 will be automatically debited from the card nominated within your account
- Invoices totalling in excess of $10,000 can be paid in-person at any Grays office
- 1.5% surcharge applies to PayPal transactions
- Only accepted for invoices totalling less than $10,000 where elected as your preferred payment method within your account
- For invoices totalling in excess of $10,000. Payment must be made in full within two business days of the auction closing.
