Barossa is one of the six wine-producing zones of South Australia, and arguably the most recognized name in the Australian wine industry. Barossa wines have attracted more international awards than any other region in the country.
It is divided into two sections: the western Barossa Valley (effectively the warmer valley floor) and on the eastern side the cooler, higher altitude Eden Valley, both of which have a distinct Geographical Indication (GI) formalized in 1997. Grapegrowing conditions vary immensely across the wider Barossa zone and this is reflected in the markedly different wine styles produced here. (267086-86)

Fox Gordon was founded in 2000 to allow the owners to live the dream of producing, marketing and selling premium wines from the Barossa Valley and Adelaide Hills after learning their trade working in some of Australia's largest wine companies.
The founders, Sam and Rachel Atkins (nee Fox), David Cumming, Jane Gordon and Natasha Mooney wanted to produce great wines that provide outstanding value for money under a brand that would offer both integrity and beauty. Importantly Fox Gordon was formed with a long term vision to take necessary time to achieve the founders' goals and dreams.
The Fox Gordon name and logo celebrates the founding women in the company, using Rachel and Jane's surnames to create 'Fox Gordon' and the stylised images of Rachel and Tash to produce the now highly recognisable logo. All the individual wines and sub-brands would carry the name of family and friends.
Building a wine company of real integrity takes enormous commitment, investment, belief, passion and time and the owners of Fox Gordon would not have it any other way.
