Our Clare Valley vineyard is known for consistently producing exceptional award-winning wines. The Sangiovese is closely monitored in the vineyard to ensure the desired flavour and maturity is achieved. Small batches of Sangiovese are delivered to the winery,where they are destemmed into small open top fermenters and fermented under temperature-controlled conditions for up to 10 days. During this time, daily pump overs are conducted to maximise flavour and structure. Post fermentation the wine is matured for approximately 18 months using seasoned French oak casks.

Winery Tasting Notes

Colour

Bright garnet. Classic Sangiovese.

Nose

An aromatic bouquet, quite intense with sweet spices such as vanilla and cinnamon, red cherry fruit and roses.

Palate

It shows benchmark Sangiovese style: elegant fruit, savoury tannins and a line of bright acidity. Medium-bodied; developing nice complexity of dried and fresh, juicy berry fruit, exotic herbs and roses. A fine, long finish. Very smart wine.

Food Pairing

Pasta dishes, pizza. Slow cooked shoulder of lamb, a really good burger and fries.
