The cultivation area for the Chateau le Cazals is Mouleydier, Bergerac district, Nouvelle-Aquitaine region - a fascinating hilly landscape along the Dordogne river in the hinterland of Bordeaux.

The grape varieties for this wine are Merlot (65%), Cabernets (35%). The vines thrive in the Atlantic climate on clay and silicon sandy soils in the heart of the municipality. The grapes are harvested in several rounds with optimum ripeness.

"After 15 days of maceration, the wine is fermented temperature-controlled. Before bottling, the Chateau le Cazals is stored for a period of one and a half years. Very nice garnet red, intense bouquet with concentrated notes of blackberry, dark cherry and cassis. On the palate well structured, fills the mouth. Distinctly fruity and underpinned with noticeable, well-integrated tannin. Well balanced and with a nice length."
