Evans & Tate Gnangara Shiraz 2017 (6 x 750mL) WA

Description:

History

Gnangara is an Aboriginal word, meaning and origin of which is not known, although possible meaning 'spring'. The Gnangara wines derive their name from the lake and related aquifer that fed the original Gnangara Shiraz vineyards in the Swan Valley and is a source of drinking water for Perth.

The original Gnangara wines had purity of fruit expression and flavour impact never before seen in Western Australian wines due to the ability to blend select parcels of fruit from vineyards across WA.

Wines with the Gnangara name have now been made for 45 consecutive years and have returned to the style that made them an Australian favourite.

Vintage and Winemaking Notes

This multi0regional wine was made from to primary parcels of fruit. A soft, generous parcel from some of the southern-most vineyards in WA is balanced by pungent, aromatic, peppery fruit from a mature maritime vineyard in the heart of WA's south-west. Minimal oak influence and a hands-off winemaking approach allow these two parcels of fruit to work in harmony to showcase everything great about Gnangara Shiraz.
