A luxurious, single-vintage fortified masterpiece from the historic cellars of the Barossa Valley.

Drawn from select oak barrels after more than two decades of patient maturation, this expression showcases extraordinary depth, viscosity, and concentrated rancio complexity.

Colour: Deep mahogany tawny with brilliant amber and golden flashes at the rim.

Aroma: An intensely lifted and complex bouquet of roasting nuts, burnt toffee, butterscotch, and brandy snaps, layered with candied citrus rinds, Christmas cake, and warming exotic spices.

Palate: Unctuous, rich, and full-bodied with exceptional concentration. Deep flavours of pure caramel, brittle toffee, and dried orange peel dominate the mouthfeel, balanced beautifully by a seamless undercurrent of old oak structure.

Finish: Profoundly long and warming, driven by a vibrant seam of natural acidity that cuts through the intense sweetness, leaving a persistent, highly complex rancio finish.

Medium tawny in the glass with amber flashes and notes of roasting nuts, candied citrus rinds, burnt toffee, butterscotch, brandy snaps, rancio and Christmas cake, with layers and layers of spice below. Established in 1851, Seppeltsfield houses Australia's greatest collection of fortified wines dating back to 1878. At the cornerstone of this group is the unique Para Centenary Tawny collection with consecutive vintages going back to 1878. We believe Seppeltsfield is the only winery in the world to release a 100 year old wine each year. The Seppeltsfield fortified wine portfolio incorporates a wide range of styles including sherry, muscat and tokay as well as port style wines.

Whenever you buy wine there is an inherent risk, as wine is a perishable good regardless of whether it is sealed under cork or screwcap. At GraysOnline we minimise the risk to you by providing as much information as possible regarding the provenance of the wine we sell.

We take the time to individually inspect each bottle and photograph it so you know exactly what you are buying. All Private Cellar wine stored at GraysOnline is kept in a temperature controlled wine storage area. Any wine that doesn’t meet our quality standards will not be sold.

Wines displaying a 5 star designation are recognised as being of proven quality provenance, our team has verified that the wine has been stored correctly from original purchase straight from the winery, documentation, where possible, has been sighted and cellaring conditions have been inspected. This wine generally comes from only the best and most respected of wine collectors in Australia.

Wines displaying a 4 star designation have been cellared correctly as verified by the current owners. In general these wines have been purchased from retailers or traders and stored in cellared conditions from original purchase.

Wines displaying a 3 star designation are in good condition when we inspect and we are able to confirm some cellaring conditions but we are unable to verify all ownership and storage conditions of their history.
