Limestone Coast leading in to harvest was cool to cold and dry with significant rain. Cool night-time temperatures helped develop stable flavours and tannins. Winemakers were able to commence harvest with lower grape-sugar concentrations, with good parcels harvested before or at Easter.

Sourced from selected Shiraz vineyards located in the premium growing area of Limestone Coast.

Winemaking

Fruit was fermented to dryness on skins. Following pressing, clarification and blending, the wine was matured on American oak for 12 months prior to bottling.

This delicious red delivers ripe, sweet fruit on the nose with cherry and plum aromas and a note of fresh cracked black pepper. This wine is full of flavour with earthy plum and cherry fruit flavours and a touch of dark chocolate oak. The palate is well supported by fine tannins and leads to a persistent finish. Enjoy with a barbecued sirloin steak!
