Winery Tasting Notes

Colour

Vibrant red cherry.

Nose

Maraschino cherry, ripe raspberry and rose water.

Palate

This light bodied wine has red cherry and raspberryflavours which leap from the glass with soft ‘apple skin’tannins giving vibrancy and youth to the palate.Refreshing and vibrant, the youthful wine is carried bythe fragrant red berries and balanced by the softtanninson the mid to back palate.

Winemaking

The 2024 Clare Valley vintage began with a dry winter and early

spring, leading to early budburst and flowering. Timely preChristmas rains created ideal conditions for vibrant, intensely flavoured wines, and ideal weather during harvest resulted in a well-balanced crop. The Grenache grapes were crushed and destemmed into a stainless steel open-top fermenter, where they fermented on skins for 10 days, reaching up to 30°C before being maintained at a cooler 22°C. To enhance varietal flavours,

the Grenache was pumped over twice daily. After primary fermentation, the wine was gently pressed, allowed to settle, and then racked into a mix of seasoned French and American 300- liter oak barrels to complete malolactic fermentation. The wine was then matured and prepared for packaging.
