Shearers Hill Regional Shiraz 2017 (6 x 750mL) Langhorne Creek, SA

Description:

SHEARER’S HILL

Langhorne Creek was named after the Langhorne brothers, Henry and Alfred Langhorne, who in the 1840’s, drove cattle overland to the region. This was the start of a rich farming history for the area, and it wasn’t long until the first vineyards were planted in the 1850’s. Before being planted with the vines that you see today, the land that constitutes CMV Farms was a former grazing property. In recognition of this, the original shearing shed stands overlooking the vines today, on Shearer’s Hill.

Winery Tasting Notes

Notes Image

A layered and complex wine with aromas of rich ripe plums and hints of coffee bean with dark chocolate. The palate is full and round with excellent length and structure. The blending of unique blocks from across our vineyard as well as other parcels from the region makes for a balanced yet complex wine that is still approachable.
