Devlin's Mount Shiraz 2021 (12x 750mL) Clare Valley

Description:

The 2021 vintage in Clare Valley witnessed cooler, favourableconditions, which fostered gradual ripening, allowing the fruit to express its full character with grace and purity. The vineyard’s sandy loam over clay and sedimentary rock provided excellent drainage and essential minerals during the growing season. Fermented for 10 days in open stainless steel fermenters, the Shiraz underwent daily pump-overs to enrich color and flavour.

After primary fermentation, the wine was transferred to seasoned French and American oak barrels for malolactic fermentation, followed by 18 months of careful aging in barrels.

An inviting medley of ripe blackcurrants and plums, interwoven with warm hints of dark chocolate, hickory, and subtle nutmeg.

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

Vegan friendly.

Experienced wine exporters, vignerons and domestic wine sellers. The Byrne difference is quality focused, innovative and estate grown wines from grape to glass.

Celebrating 60 years and 4 generations, the Byrne family range of wines express our dedication to sustainability and land regeneration practices, with our ethos to minimise harm and maximise benefits to the environment.

From the banks of the Murray River in which our vineyard grows, our prized estate wines reflect the love that goes into our land, delivering richness and complexity into each glass.

It all began almost half a century ago when the first vines were planted in a spot handpicked for its stony soils over the limestone base. Combine that with the warm embrace of a dry climate and generous sunshine, and you have the perfect recipe for grape varieties bursting with flavour and resilience.
