A rich, powerful, and intensely hedonistic full-bodied red wine.

Sourced from the estate's finest vineyard blocks, this flagship release was aged for 22 months in a combination of French and American oak, followed by an additional year of bottle maturation before its initial release.

Tasted as a fully mature wine, it delivers a complex and generous profile that beautifully highlights the region's distinct microclimate.

Aromas: A highly expressive bouquet featuring sweet dark plum, blackberry jam, and morello cherry, layered with complex notes of coconut husk, cinnamon, baking spices, roasting pan drippings, and cigar-box oak.

Palate: Full, lush, and deeply concentrated with thick inky black fruits, sweet plum, cola syrup, and accents of espresso and chocolate.

Structure: Rich and dense with a velvet-like texture. It balances its high 15% alcohol content with an energetic vein of acidity and firm, powdery tannins that frame a long, savoury, and faintly saline finish.

Winery Profile

Langhorne Creek is unique in that it sits on the rich soil of the Bremer River flood plain. Fresh cool evening breezes from Lake Alexandrina provide a micro climate of mild to warm summer days and cool evenings, perfect for the long ripening of the grapes producing intense and sought after cool climate flavours.

Winemaker Rebecca Willson and Marketing Manager, Lucy Willson have focussed the family’s wine range on high quality and individualistic wines. They have given Bremerton a strong foothold in the highly competitive wine market with Rebecca’s first label at age 25 – the 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon winning a trophy and rated third best Cabernet in Australia by Winestate magazine.

Since then the Willson Sisters have taken Bremerton to become one of the best known brands from South Australia’s Langhorne Creek wine region.

Whenever you buy wine there is an inherent risk, as wine is a perishable good regardless of whether it is sealed under cork or screwcap. At GraysOnline we minimise the risk to you by providing as much information as possible regarding the provenance of the wine we sell.

We take the time to individually inspect each bottle and photograph it so you know exactly what you are buying. All Private Cellar wine stored at GraysOnline is kept in a temperature controlled wine storage area. Any wine that doesn’t meet our quality standards will not be sold.

Wines displaying a 5 star designation are recognised as being of proven quality provenance, our team has verified that the wine has been stored correctly from original purchase straight from the winery, documentation, where possible, has been sighted and cellaring conditions have been inspected. This wine generally comes from only the best and most respected of wine collectors in Australia.

Wines displaying a 4 star designation have been cellared correctly as verified by the current owners. In general these wines have been purchased from retailers or traders and stored in cellared conditions from original purchase.

Wines displaying a 3 star designation are in good condition when we inspect and we are able to confirm some cellaring conditions but we are unable to verify all ownership and storage conditions of their history.

Storing the wine and allowing it to age has the potential to improve the quality of the wine. While wine is perishable and capable of deteriorating, storing the wine can alter the aroma, colour, mouthfeel and taste of the wine in a way that may be more pleasing to the taster.
