Byrne Reserve Riesling 2024 (12x 750mL) Clare Valley

Description:

The 2024 vintage began with a dry winter and early spring, leading to early budburst and flowering. Rain before Christmas contributed to vibrant, intense flavours in the wines, while ideal harvest weather ensured a balanced crop. The Riesling grapes were gently crushed and destemmed using a must chiller to preserve their fresh flavours before being pressed into refrigerated stainless steel tanks. After five days of settling, the clear juice was separated from the lees, inoculated with yeast, and fermented at 12-14°C to maintain bright citrus aromas.

Following fermentation, the wine was heat and cold stabilised for packaging.

COLOUR

Pale lemon with hints of white gold.

NOSE

A captivating bouquet of tropical fruits, citrus blossom and honeysuckle, with vibrant notes of passionfruit and pineapple.

PALATE

Zesty and refreshing, with a lively blend of lemon, lime and grapefruit pith. The mineral texture complement flavours of fresh quince and green apple. The sherbet like acidity is perfectly balanced, giving the wine a crisp, structured flow.
