Colour

The colour is a medium density red with burgundy hues and long alcohol legs coating the sides of the glass.

Aroma

The bouquet opens with hints of ripe red berries and follows with earthy spice and charred oak. The bottle aged characters of ground roasted coffee and licorice add to the complexity with a subtle, sweet vanilla lift.

Palate

The flavours of ripe, dark red fruits follow onto the initial palate. The middle palate has nice gripping tannins, medium weight and well-rounded acidity with sweet oak, vanilla and cinnamon spice. The finish is clean and dry. Overall, an easy drinking Shiraz for many occasions.

Food Matching

Originally intended for the Chinese market, this shiraz is a great match Asian banquet dishes like Peking duck, roast suckling pork, dumplings and fried rice.

Cellaring Potential

With six years age, this Shiraz is drinking well now. With careful cellaring it will continue to develop for another 3 - 5 years but it’s easy drinking style makes it an everyday choice.
