Winery Tasting Notes

Colour

First impressions are bright mid red with long alcohol “legs” on the side of the glass and a touch of brick red on the edge.

Aroma

On pouring the first glass, the bouquet is quite youthful with green herbaceous characters, there are hints of capsicum, mint and black currant fruit. As the wine opens up in glass, there is French oak, vanilla spice and some earthiness.

Palate

Plums and dark berry fruit open on the front palate. The mid palate is traditional Cabernet with licorice, tobacco and leather overtones. The tannins are firm and well-integrated with the oak and spice. The flavours are not overpowering making it an ideal partner with a wide range of cuisines and styles.
