This single vineyard Montepulciano from the Banrock Station vineyard is an excellent expression of the variety which truly thrives in our Mediterranean climate. The wine has an incredible layered bouquet of sweet florals, black fruits and dark mocha. The palate is bold and powerful with incredible structure, length and weight. Vintage Conditions: The Riverland regions have a climate well suited for growing vines. In 2021 we had and extremely cool vintage that provided ideal conditions for winemaking, with warm days, cool nights and little or no rain. This led to excellent ripening conditions resulting in bright ripe fruit, excellent tannin structure and incredible natural acidity.

Appearance: Very deep crimson/ruby

Bouquet: Forrest floor, Boysenberry, Mocha and sweet spice.

Palate: Rich dark fruits with excellent fruit intensity with layers of mocha and sweet spices. Powerful ripe tannins add structure and depth to the wine.
