No details supplied so the vintage base is unknown other than a blend of pinot noir and chardonnay. However, it is fresh with lemon blossom and zest meeting up with some crisp apple. Not overly complex but hits the spot at this price point.

Winery Tasting Notes

Pale to medium straw in colour with a bright fresh hue, this wine displays lifted strawberry and citrus fruit aromas, complemented with fresh yeast. The palate is soft and round with great length and depth, exhibiting nuances of sea brine, brioche and mushroom with a crisp and natural finish. This balanced, elegant and textural wine exhibits a rare depth of flavour and complexity.

History

The Yarra Burn winery was a pioneer of the Upper Yarra over 30 years ago. In fact, it was at Yarra Burn that founders David and Christine Fyffe produced the very first Yarra Valley sparkling, as well as one of the first Sauvignon Blanc Semillon blends in Australia. And this innovative thinking continues at the winery today.
