The vineyards of the Pèppoli estate in Chianti Classico produce a Chianti Classico, Sangiovese-based and with other complementary varieties, conceived to be appreciated for its full fruity character. A wine capable of expressing the territory of Chianti Classico and its historic grape variety through its fruity and floral aromas and flavors. Péppoli was first produced in the year 1985, and since 2013 a part of the crop has been fermented and aged in the Antinori Chianti Classico cellars.

Winery Tasting Notes

Pèppoli 2019 is ruby red in color.

On the nose, Pèppoli offers sweet notes of red fruit; cherries, sour cherries and lychees accompanied by floral scents of rose petals and spicy hints of sandalwood, rosemary and lavender.

Its palate is soft with smooth, sweet tannins together with well-balanced freshness that make it easy to drink, lively and savory.

Winery Profile

One of the oldest winemaking firms in the world, Antinori first commenced producing wines in Tuscany and in and around Florence in 1385. They have since led the charge of Chianti producers in establishing the image of great Chianti and have contributed significantly to the Renaissance of Italian wines. The majority of the Antinori vineyards are located in Chianti Classico, where all efforts are centred on viticulture, with the aim of achieving Antinori's objectives to maximise the undiscovered potential in winemaking whilst safeguarding the wealth of tradition, culture and taste which gives Antinori wines their true identity.
