Winemaking

The 2019 vintage endured some extended heat and dryness which resulted in lower than average yields, concentrated flavour and minimal disease risk. Harvested in three different stages, destemmed and must chilled into bag presses to gently extract the fresh fruity flavours. Clarified and fermented under controlled temperatures between 12 to 18 c. Extended lees contact was conducted to achieve soft rich mouthfeel then oaked in both American and French barrels until bottling.

The Triple Pick Chardonnay derives its name from the three parcels of Chardonnay we pick from our mature vines on low yielding limestone soil each vintage. These are lovingly crafted into the highest quality wines throughout the harvest to optimise the flavour and character balance.

Colour

Pale straw with golden hue.

Nose

Vibrant stone fruits of nectarine and peach with zesty tropical fruits and creamy vanilla bean.

Palate

Slippery and long lasting on the palate, this well rounded and full-bodied wine has the partial time oaked in seasoned French barrels. Tangy peach and lime have a vanilla cream finish.

Food Pairing

Chargrilled fish, buttered lobster, garlic prawns or roasted fowl, gnocchi with sage butter.
