Etienne de Montille took over the running of Chateau de Puligny-Montrachet in 2001 and this famous estate is now fully certified organic . The wines are known for their great aromatic purity, always favouring balance and elegance over power and extraction. The Nuits-St Georges Clos des Grandes Vignes, with 50 per cent whole bunch fermentation produce a wine that is dark and brooding. This powerful and rich wine is made from the old vines from this vineyard.
