In 1896 Marcel Ott of Alsace found an estate which inspired him, Château de Selle in Tarandeau, Provence, where once olives, lavender and mulberries grew. Enjoying a unique microclimate, the wines are delicate and elegant with great depth.
In the 1930s, Marcel Ott fell in love with the very old Clos Mireille, overlooking the sea at La Londe Les Maures, near Brégançon. The vines soon started producing distinctive yet subtle wines. Château Romassan in Bandol was acquired by the Ott family in 1956 and following years of terracing and replanting, produces robust, harmonious and long lived wines. Cœur de Grain represents wine-making genius, and today the distinctive bottle evokes the memory of the elegant amphora of centuries past. Today, 120 years later, cousins Jean-François and Christian Ott dedicate their lives to their ancestor’s love for Provence.
In 2004, Domaines Ott* joined Louis Roederer and its fabulous selection of wine craftsmen.

Winery Profile
The vine needs time. And men that work with wine sometimes devote their entire lives to it. So it was and has remained with Marcel Ott, his children and his grandchildren. The date : 1896. Ott, an Alsatian agricultural engineer with a pioneer spirit, set out to create a wine-producing estate.
First attempts : in the region of Cavalaire. It was in 1912, however, at Chateau de Selle, Le Clos Mireille, and later at Chateau Romassan, also located in the Var, that this great family adventure was ultimately launched. Long years of patience and effort! Each estate won over the rocky land. The cultivation principles, inspired by profound respect for nature, are unbending. Fortunately, the land is grateful and gas rewarded this respect by giving birth to outstanding quality wines. As early as 1930, the "Coeur de Grain" rose made its way over the border. And today, the elegant, prestigious vintages produced by Domaines Ott can be found in the finest dining establishments the world over.
In 2004, with more as 100 years of experience, Domaines Ott got wedding band with Champagne Louis Roederer Group A true synergy takes place around these craftsmen of high-class wines.
