Opens with hints of pickled onion becoming more marzipan-like until the second pass which reveals choc-fudge and light raisin bread. Remains a little shy in the subsequent inspections but with added freshness - peppermint chocolate? Creamy, sweet entry preludes a massive bittersweet attack; almost crushing weight but delivered with astonishing balance. The mid palate bitter-sweetness gradually gives way to dense sugars as pulsing spices carry vanilla, marzipan and subtle banana cake into the aftertaste.
