Create the perfect Angel Cake with this professional quality cake pan from Mondo. Part of their Professional range the tin features a heavy duty alloy construction and 21cm diameter. The loose base makes for easy cake removal while the 3 extended feet means you can invert the cake to let it air-cool. The centre tube allows the cake batter to rise higher by 'clinging' to all sides of the pan. The angel food cake pan should not be greased, unlike pans used to prepare other cakes. After baking, the cake pan is inverted while cooling to prevent the cake from falling in on itself.

What is Angel Cake? It is a type of sponge cake originally from North America that first became popular in the late 19th century. It is named because of its airy lightness that was said to be the "food of the angels".
