Winemaking note:

Fruit was harvested from 16 year old vines in an exceptional vineyard site from our GV vineyard on 22nd March 2018. The vineyard is situated on the banks of the Goulburn River, and is of sandy soils, with excellent draining providing ideal conditions for growing high quality fruit. Tonnages were kept low, (approximately 1.5 tonnes/acre) to allow for maximum quality and flavour. The must was fermented with wild yeast in open pot fermenters and hand plunged every eight hours for the ferment’s duration. Separate parcels of the wine spent between 6 and 12 months in French oak barriques, after which the final blending of select parcels took place.

90 Pts - Fruit sourced from a vineyard on the banks of the Goulburn River. Fermented with wild yeast, separate parcels spending between 6 and 12 months in French barriques. Red berries are the main theme on the bouquet with a touch of chocolate (perhaps oak) in the background. Medium-bodied and quite soft and sweet-fruited on the palate, it's ready to go now.
