Expert Reviews

Crushed to a concrete egg for wild-yeast fermentation and 6 months on skins. A fascinating wine. The winemaker believes the egg shape is important for a smooth, continuous surface which creates currents, acting like lees stirring. The result is a complex, textural wine that enlists an array of white stone fruits, yellow peach and red apple with acacia and honeysuckle aromas. Nougat-rich, it glides effortlessly with sparks of bright acidity.

An orange sherbet bomb explodes and releases a wine with complex layered textures and flavours including a bouquet garni made from sage, oregano and thyme which entwines with fresh apricots and unripe white nectarines. The flavours linger on.
