De Bortoli Scarlett's Brook Cabernet Merlot 2016

"This wine is a perfect blend and was carefully handcrafted by senior red winemaker Julie Mortlock, who has been with De Bortoli for over 25 years.

In the glass: Deep red violet.

On the nose: Plum, dark cherry, raspberry, earth and cedar.

On the palate: Shows a ripe core of red and black fruit with black pepper notes making for a savoury, earthy, medium-weight style with some mocha on the ripe finish."

Criminally intense vanilla aromatics are balanced with ripe raspberry and plum fruits. Full and round bright-red wine with crimson hues that give way to subtle sweetness on the palate.
