Riversdale Estate is located in the basin of the Coal River Valley, in Southern Tasmania. The Coal River Valley is the second largest wine region in Tasmania.

Riversdale Estate continues to grow each year as a result of the unique growing climates located in the Valley. Riversdale is located in the basin of the valley and is the only vineyard to front Pittwater which gives temperature advantages during the winter and summer months. Due to the climate advantages it is able to produce 9 different varieties with a reputation for Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah and Riesling. Riversdale Estate was purchased in 1980 by Ian Roberts for Angora goat purposes. The first vines were planted in 1991 and are some of the oldest in the region.

Made from our high-quality Riesling1 blocks, this wine showcases our fruit purity and provides a quality current vintage wine to our Riversdale Estate Range. This Riesling1 label typically exhibits traditional flavours of sharp lime, citrus and produces the smooth characters quality Riesling1s exemplify.

Fresh and lively with great citrus fruit and crisp acidity on the crisp, clean palate. These flavours build in intensity on the lingering finish. Displaying fragrant orange blossom, citrus peel and fairy floss aromas.
