Sullivans Cove American Oak Cask Strength Whisky 2017 (1x 700mL, TD0137)Cask TD0137 is the first general release of cask-strength American Oak from the Sullivans Cove Distillery in many years. Distilled 8.9.2006 and bottled 15.12.2017, this 11yo single cask, single malt Australian whisky was aged in a 200L American Oak ex-bourbon cask and bottled at a colossal 69.1% ABV.Non-chill-filtered and with no added colour, the whisky is handcrafted to perfection in a bespoke copper pot still and created from renowned Tasmanian barley. It’s then double distilled using pure wilderness water from rainforests and mountains around Hobart.Head Distiller, Patrick Maguire comments:“We generally bottle our single cask whiskies at 47.5%, because they're usually too powerful at cask strength, but when we tasted this one, we figured adding water would be a shame”
