Swisse Liquid Iron - 200ml - Blackcurrant
Iron Deficiency Supplements | Liquid Iron by Swisse
Swisse Ultiboost Liquid Iron is a complete formula containing vitamins and herbal extracts for wellbeing and inner vitality. Natural vitamin C is included to help increase iron absorption, while B vitamins help maintain energy and stamina levels.
Swisse Ultiboost Liquid Iron may assist in the management of dietary iron deficiency and provide support during pregnancy and breastfeeding, when the body requires increased levels of iron. The formula is also suitable for growing children and anyone feeling run down or fatigued as a result of a diet low in iron.
Swisse Ultiboost Liquid Iron contains SunActive iron, a microencapsulated form of iron that assists in maintaining desired levels of vitamin c in the formulation for the shelf life of the product.
The range of herbal extracts has been specifically chosen for their nutritive properties. Many are naturally high in vitamin C, such as seabuckthorn, rosehip and acerola. Overall, the inclusion of these herbs provides a wide variety of trace nutrients to support general health. For example, pumpkin seeds are rich in zinc, bladderwrack provides kelp and pomegranate is known for its antioxidant content.
Xylitol is a natural sweetener that is derived from a number of natural fruits and plants and, in this case, corn. It contains 40% less kilojoules than sugar and also has a low glycaemic index (GI), meaning it has a lower impact on a persons blood sugar levels. Xylitol is known as a tooth friendly sweetener. Research (Int Dent J. 1995 Feb;45(1 Suppl 1):65-76.) confirms that xylitol helps to reduce dental plaque. It also suggests that it may attract and then “starve” harmful microorganisms in the mouth, allowing for remineralisation of damaged teeth with less interruption.
