Medium yellow colour, with a quite oaky bouquet, some smoky notes and richly complex, with creamy nutty detail and irresistible complexity. The wine is intense and refined, rich but light on its feet, the palate concentrated and satisfyingly long on the follow-through. A ripping chardonnay which is a touch oaky right now, better in a couple of years.

Pale lemon in colour with a brilliant, diamond-like clarity.

AROMA

Elston Chardonnay ’18 shows captivating notes of roasted hazelnuts, cashews and citrus fruits on the nose, alongside crème brûlée and nougat.

PALATE

Tropical fruit, intense white peach and ripe lemon all radiate across the palate. Elston Chardonnay ’18, with its signature balance, moreish acidity and fine, lingering finish is lush and powerful. Exceptionally appealing with superb ripeness and length.

Ripe lime, fresh pineapple, some vanilla and cinnamon oak, along with subtle struck match character. It’s flavoursome with a cream and pineapple flavour, aniseed perfume wafting about, some oatmeal richness, gloss with flinty textural highlights. Length is excellent. Drinking pleasure is a given. It’s a lovely, slightly glamorous expression of Chardonnay.
