One of McLaren Vale's Best Are Ripe For The Picking
In 1892 Alexander Campbell Johnston planted the first small vine cuttings on his newly purchased 97-hectare property in McLaren Vale, South Australia. Alexander settled with his family on the property and proudly named it "Pirramimma", an Aboriginal phrase meaning 'the moon and the stars'. More than 115 years and three generations later the Johnston Family still operates one of Australia's oldest and proudest family owned and run wineries - Pirramimma. Making wines that range from the traditional to the innovative, Pirramimma is pure McLaren Vale.
