I placed an absentee bid online and received an outbid notification?+
If you have placed an absentee bid on a lot online and receive an email that you have been outbid, this means that another bidder has placed a higher absentee bid on the same lot. This gives you the opportunity to increase your absentee bid and still have a chance of winning that lot. This can be done online in the “My Live Auction Items” section.
If you do not want to increase your bid, you might consider bidding on a different lot in the Auction.

Live auctions will usually have GST and Buyers Premium (see clause 3.2 of the User Agreement for further details of amounts payable) applicable which is not included in the bid price so always make sure you double check the auction’s GST status, Buyer’s Premium and other costs on your item so that there are no surprises when the invoice arrives.
What is floor priority?+
Auctions can be fast paced environments and sometimes when an online bid is placed, the auctioneer has already taken a bid at the same amount from a buyer present at the On The Floor Auction. In this case the auctioneer may give the floor buyer priority. You will see a message in the GraysLive bidding applet in your GraysLive account stating that "the auctioneer gave the floor priority". If you want to win the lot you will need to bid again at the next asking price.
