The 2010 Cotes du Rhone St.-Esprit is a real winner. It offers lots of Provencal herb notes interwoven with loamy, earthy, peppery, kirsch and black currant characteristics. This medium-bodied, delicious Cotes du Rhone ranks alongside some of the finest of the appellation.

This outstanding firm has done a top rank job under the ownership of the Roederer champagne firm and the general administration of Jacques Granges. Deep ruby with some bricking at the rim. Aromas of black cherry, dried herbs, pepper, and a hint of leather. The palate is medium-bodied with mature red and dark fruits, earthy spice, and supple tannins. Finishes savoury and smooth with lingering herbal notes. Drinking well with graceful age.

The company's new management has made important investments in the Saint-Jean-de-Muzols production site near Tournon-sur-Rhône.Its highly-motivated team is proud to play its part in the revival of the quality of this venerable Rhône Valley wine company. A specially designed vat-house for the vinification of red wines, as well as a full restructuring of the ageing cellars, are among the new quality measures at Delas, all aimed at perpetuating and enhancing the expression of the Terroir.
