Silver & 92 Pts - Halliday Rating. Bowen, the signpost of ageable Coonawarra cabs, has seen alcohol soar across more recent vintages. This is no exception. Thankfully, cabernet's stiff-upper lipped sage-brushed tannins, bright acidity, synergy with oak and its herbal undercarriage, are all useful restraining devices. Winery Profile

The Bowen Estate vineyards were established in 1972. Doug and Joy Bowen, joined by their daughter Emma continue the tradition of producing classic Coonawarra wines from hand pruned vines. The vineyards are situated in the heart of Coonawarra on prime terra rossa soil.

With over 30 vintages produced at Bowen Estate, the wines consistently reflect the true characteristics of the area. Emma Bowen now working with her parents, only enhances the continuity of the classic Coonawarra style.
