Shiraz sourced from vineyards across the Barossa, matured in (25% new) French and American oak hogsheads for 28 months, then bottle aged. Rich and opulent aromas of blackberry, dark plum and black cherry fruits, layered with fruitcake spice, black licorice, Old Jamaica chocolate, blackforest cake and a fair lick of cedary oak. Weighty, cedary and concentrated, with a deep fruit resonance, compact tannins and cassis-rich finish. - Dave Brookes

The nose has generous plum and black cherry fruit with a thread of vanilla laced spice and a floral lift. The balance and texture is very good given the wines sheer concentration, the fruit is bold, yet complex. The oak rich, but not overbearing. There is flowing length to finish with red and black fruits carried by the supple and spiced impact of oak.
