Appearance

Pale straw with a bright, youthful hue.

Aroma

Lifted lemon and grapefruit mingle with ripe nectarine, pear and a subtle oatmeal and nutty character. There’s a gentle touch of French oak in the background, adding polish rather than taking over.

Palate

This is where the Fossil Hill really earns its stripes—full of flavour but beautifully restrained. Juicy citrus and stone fruit sit alongside creamy melon, delicate spice and a hint of macadamia, with fresh acidity keeping everything tight and lively. The oak is deftly handled, giving the wine texture and depth without making it heavy. A seriously good cool-climate Chardonnay from Orange: refined, food-friendly and with the kind of balance that makes one glass very easily turn into two.
