The 2017 Purple Patch is a traditional Rhone style blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvedre. The fruit for this wine was estate grown from vines planted in 1999, Mourvedre being the exception which was planted in 2006 as the link between the Grenache and Shiraz, tying the structure together.

The Grenache, Shiraz and Mouvedre grapes were harevested and fermented separately. The Shiraz was aged in new and older French Oak barrels. The Grenache and Mouvedre was aged in older French Oak barrels.Before blending together fined and filtered and bottled.
