"Medium deep crimson. Lovely pure cassis aromas with roasted chestnut, marzipan, hint graphite notes. Well concentrated claret style with very attractive blackcurrant pastille, blackberry fruits, fine grainy firm tannins and well-balanced new oak complexity. Finishes claret firm with a lacy/ graphite plume. Lovely wine showing wonderful completeness, maturity and balance. Drink now – 2034"

Winemaker Andrew Hardy

Andrew began with Petaluma in 1982, working and studying his wayup through the ranks as cellar hand, trainee winemaker and finally leadwinemaker. Successfully interweaving practical, ‘in the vineyard’ workwith university studies, Andrew completed his Bachelor of Appl. Sci(Wine Science) at University of Adelaide in 1990. Nominated in August1999 as a finalist in AGT Wine Magazine's Winemaker of the Year award, Andrew is highly respected for his effortless winemaking style,restrained hand in the winery and engaging manner.
