This wine displays both the true varietal and vineyard characters that the famed Terra rossa soils of the Coonawarra in South Australia are renowned for. This is a concentrated and powerful wine with a fine, elegant tannin structure.

Aroma

Cassis, plum, liquorice with hints of fresh tobacco, spearmint and spice.

A concentrated fruit-driven wine with flavours of blackcurrant and mint, a balanced mid-palate and a tannin structure that yields to dusty elegance, providing great length and persistence to the finish.

Cellaring Potential

This wine is drinking nicely now but will benefit from aging for up to 10 years from its vintage.

Tempus Two’s roots are firmly planted in one of Australia’s oldest wine regions, the Hunter Valley, and one of Australia’s best known wine families, the McGuigan family.

Our award winning, architecturally designed Cellar Door is set among the rolling green vineyards of Pokolbin, in the heart of the Hunter Valley and reflects the Tempus Two spirit to blend the essence of tradition with the magic of innovation.

Launched in 1998 as Hermitage Road, the street on which the McGuigan family lived, it soon came to the attention of the French appellation body, which took issue with the use of the word ‘Hermitage’, a protected wine region in the Rhone Valley. And so, Tempus Two, which is Latin for ‘second time’ was born.

Today, the vision for Tempus Two remains; to create a unique and distinctive range of wines from Australia’s premier wine growing regions. By blending substance with style, Tempus Two creates wines that are affordable, luxurious and artisan showcasing familiar and new varietals in innovative, eye catching packaging.
